Answers to Common Questions About Vision Search Partners
How long does it take to complete a search?
We average 59 days from signed engagement letter to signed offer letter.
What types of searches do you conduct?
For well-funded start-ups to middle market businesses, we conduct financial leadership searches, including Chief Financial Officer, Vice President of Finance and Controller, along with their direct reports. For larger organizations, we conduct Director and Manager level searches across the accounting & finance spectrum, including SEC/financial reporting, accounting policy, general accounting, financial planning & analysis (FP&A), tax, treasury and internal audit & SOX compliance.
What is your geographical focus?
The majority of the search work we perform is for clients in Connecticut. However, when our client relationships and professional networks take us beyond the region, we are equally comfortable executing searches nationwide. Recent examples include a CFO for a $120M healthcare company in Florida, a General Manager for the Massachusetts operation of a $30M manufacturer, and a Controller for a $50M pharmaceutical company in Illinois.
What is your search process?
Our process begins with developing a thorough understanding of the role and organization, followed by targeted candidate development and comprehensive assessment of technical capabilities, cultural fit, and overall alignment. For select searches, we also incorporate a personality assessment to provide additional insight and inform our candidate interviews. We then actively manage both clients and candidates through the interview and offer process, with the goal of reducing hiring risk and time-to-fill.
What is your guarantee period?
Vision Search Partners provides a one-year professional guarantee on our placements. If a candidate leaves the organization during that period, we will conduct a replacement search at no additional cost.
