Matt returned to Vision Search Partners LLC™ as a partner in 2013 after spending three years launching and leading a national retained multidisciplinary executive search firm. He originally joined Vision Search Partners in 2002 as the firm’s second employee and, over the course of seven years, helped establish Vision Search Partners LLC as a premier regional provider of accounting and financial talent.
Matt conducts financial officer searches for small and mid-market companies. For large companies, he recruits functional leaders within accounting, finance, audit, treasury and tax. His recent experience also includes successful C-suite, VP and Director-level searches in operations, technology, legal, human resources, marketing and e-commerce.
Matt commenced his recruiting career as a researcher for Koll-Fairfield L.L.C in 1998. After his promotion to Manager in 2000, he founded their New Media/Interactive practice. Matt served as a corpsman for a Marine Corps infantry platoon from 1992 to 1998, both on active duty and as a reservist while studying at the University of Connecticut. He earned a bachelor’s degree in history and culture.
A nationally-recognized expert in employment market issues, Matt has been quoted in publications such as MSN Careers and CNN.com. He serves on the Advisory Board of Four Block, a New York City-based organization which provides student-veterans with year-long fellowships designed to build professional skills and secure internships with blue-chip employers. He also coordinates Toys For Tots collection for the town of Wilton, Connecticut. He resides in Wilton with his wife, Beth Anne, and their daughters, Annie and Riley.
